About Jayne Lessard
A resident of High Point, North Carolina, Jayne Lessard attended Wheaton College in Illinois, where she studied physical education and earned a bachelor of science with honors. Subsequently, Jayne Lessard shifted her focus and returned to Wheaton College to continue her education and to pursue a career in clinical psychology, graduating with a master of arts in that field.
Considered a master level therapist, she began her career at the Family Service Agency of High Point. Initially serving as the director, Ms. Lessard oversaw clinical programs such as those for Family Life Education and Rape Victim Assistance, managed staff, and worked on business and health care relations. After one year, Ms. Lessard was promoted to the position of executive director and, later, CEO. Under her leadership, the small agency grew from three employees to 50.
Ms. Lessard currently provides clinical therapy at a local private practice, where she conducts therapy sessions for individuals, groups, families, and couples. Her practice focuses primarily on sexual abuse, eating disorders, self-esteem, depression, and marital issues, among others. Jayne Lessard is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors.
